Chibi Robo Confirmed for America

Nintendo sets a US release date for the cute robot house helper.

Nintendo of America today revealed that it is planning to bring the Skip-developed title Chibi Robo to the US early next year. The title, already available in Japan, will hit stateside retailers on February 6, 2006, according to the Big N.

Chibi Robo puts players in control of a pint-sized robot charged with the difficult task of maintaining a household. The gadget must balance housekeeping with recharging his battery, and the situation only grows more difficult when a determined crew of burglars decide to steal from the house after everyone's gone to sleep. It's up to Chibi to make sure that the house remains clean, and that the burglars don't get away clean. To do that, gamers will need to solve environmental puzzles and use the robot's many abilities to explore and interact with friends and potential foes alike.

IGNcube will have much more on Chibi Robo in the coming months. Stay tuned.
