Pac-Man Speaks

In Pac-Man World 3, the yellow guy will finally find his voice.

After 25 years, Pac-Man is getting a voice. Namco's Pac-Man World 3 will feature the vocal talents of Martin T. Sherman as the pellet-hungry yellow guy. It's a role well-supported by Sherman's previous work in Gangs of New York, Batman Begins, and Band of Brothers.

It turns out Pac-Man will be quite chatty in Pac-Man World 3, not only interacting with other characters, but providing back-story in the game.

"I've been the voice of many different characters," Sherman said, "but Pac-Man is without doubt the most fun and the most difficult -- I mean, what is a yellow, ghost-eating circle supposed to sound like? Me, apparently! I had a great time recording this voice and can't wait to see how people react to it."

Developed by Blitz Games, Pac-Man World 3 is scheduled for release across platforms next month.
