The latest chapter in the battle against Dracula and his minions is nearly at hand. Castlevania: Curse of Darkness ships next week for the PlayStation 2 and Xbox, and with it the battle between good and evil will further evolve.
Curse of Darkness brings with it some brand-new features to the franchise, like Innocent Devils, which Hector can conjure and use to do his bidding throughout the game. There is also a wide assortment of RPG-esque elements, with the ability to combine weapons, evolve your Innocent Devils into different forms and more.
But as with any Castlevania game, without a wide assortment of villainous creatures with which to wage battle, the game wouldn't be much fun. Luckily, Curse of Darkness contains in excess of 150 different enemies to fight, plenty of which are new versions of old classics, and many of which are brand-spanking new.
Here's a healthy taste of what you'll be up against in Castlevania: Curse of Darkness. Don't worry though, we're not spoiling everything for you, as there are a lot more baddies to come across in the game than this bestiary could ever reveal.
