Nintendogs Halloween Swag

Nintendo has announced that the company has paired up with game retailer Gamestop for a Halloween-based promotion that ties in the Nintendo DS system's Nintendogs game.

Starting October 28th and through October 30th, set your Nintendogs game in "Bark Mode" and wander into one of 3,600 Gamestop stores. Your game will be visited by a Nintendog owned by Haylie Duff (Napolean Dynamite) carrying a unique gift and a special voice message from Haylie Duff herself.

The gift, a pair of star-shaped sunglasses, can only be accessed through Bark Mode, so chances of you getting this swag outside of a Nintendo promotion are slim.

On a related note, Nintendo is also using this opportunity to donate $50,000 to the American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals.
