It's No Fable

Microsoft ships Fable: The Lost Chapters early and in a Platinum Hits box.

After delivering the "Lost Chapters" of Peter Molyneux's four-years-in-the-making action-RPG to the PC two weeks ago, Bill Gates' monster company sneakily bumped up the release of Fable: The Lost Chapters by a week on Xbox. Fable: The Lost Chapters hits nationwide retail stores today.

Fable: The Lost Chapters sold more than 1.6 million units worldwide on Xbox when it shipped last fall, and The Lost Chapters aren't so much lost as they are re-inserted. Think of this version as the full version, the director's cut, the one that makes more sense from a storyline perspective.

Gamers who own the first must start from scratch and cannot use their previous save game with the new $19.99 Platinum Hits version. We'll have a review shortly.
