Black & White 2 Commands Shelves

Lionhead's ambitious sequel waves a god-like hand over retail.

The sequel to one of the most ambitious PC games in recent memory is now shipping to stores, according to Electronic Arts and developer Lionhead Studios. Black & White 2 builds on what famed designer Peter Molyneux offered in the original game -- a massive, detailed, living world over which the player is given godly powers -- and adds more goals, more action, and many more ways to win followers and influence -- naw, smash, really -- enemies.

"Everyone at Lionhead is very proud of what they have achieved with Black & White 2 -- it is a monumental task these days to complete a mass market game. I'd like to thank the whole team for all their hard work and EA for their support," said Molyneux.
