Need For Speed At Launch in Japan

Electronic Arts announced today a new addition to the Japanese Xbox 360 launch lineup. The company will release Need For Speed Most Wanted simultaneously with the Xbox 360 hardware in Japan on 12/10.

Need For Speed will have some tough competition courtesy of Namco, which will be releasing Ridge Racer 6 along side X360 on 12/10. Joining the two titles at launch will be Tetris: The Grand Master Ace, Dead or Alive 4, Frame City, Enchant Arm, Ghost Recon and Every Party.

In addition to the news of an eighth launch title, EA brings first news of Japanese pricing for Xbox 360 games. Need For Speed will carry a price of 7,140 yen, keeping it at the level of current Japanese games. Microsoft has, in the past, stated pricing for Xbox 360 software won't be too far off from pricing for current generation titles.
