TGS 2005: Viewtiful'less Joe Jackson

Yo Joe, where'd you go? We're not finding that trademark V anywhere here at TGS.

We were all set to get viewtiful here at TGS, primed for the two newest chapters in Capcom's crazy cinematic action game. For some reason, however, VJ was just too cool for the room.

We've checked all over Capcom's booth at TGS and have not seen the masked hero anywhere on the show floor. There are a few kiosks over in the kiddie hall that we haven't checked out yet, (since it's a public show, the Tokyo Game Show has a separate area for little kids' games to keep little boys from learning too much about how depraved and bloodthirsty we adults all are) but we can't imagine that VJ would be tucked away exclusively in the kiddie area.

This is quite the odd occurrence, because Viewtiful Joe Scratch! for DS was heavily featured at E3 2005 this year, and Viewtiful Joe: Battle Carnival for GameCube and PSP have been talked about and shown all over. The games have even been playable elsewhere at private meetings with the press, and we know no reason to fear that either of these games will see a delay. As for TGS 2005, we'll keep looking, but so far, it's Henshin-a-no-no, baby...
