Forty Million Gran Turismos

Sony Computer Entertainment has announced worldwide sales totals for Gran Turismo 4, and the numbers are sure to please the investors. Since its Japanese release last year and continuing on through the American and European releases, GT4 has sold a worldwide total of 6.25 million copies. This breaks down to 1.09 million in Japan, 1.94 million in America and 3.12 million in Europe.

Worldwide, the series has sold a total of 43,670,000 copies including Gran Turismo, Gran Turismo 2, Gran Turismo 3 A-Spec, the Gran Turismo Concept series, Gran Turismo 4 Prologue and Gran Turismo 4. This total is current as of the end of March and covers seven years and four months time.
