Electronic Arts has revealed that the company is currently hard at work on videogame versions of the upcoming Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire film hitting theaters in November 2005. The game edition is in the works for every conceivable videogame platform on the market, including the Nintendo DS and Game Boy Advance.
In Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire, Harry is mysteriously selected as the fourth competitor in the dangerous Triwizard Tournament. Each contestant in this international competition must confront a fire-breathing dragon, rescue friends from the icy depths of the Black Lake, and navigate the twisting mysteries of a vast, dangerous maze.
The console versions are in development at EA's UK Studio. Past handheld games have been worked on by Griptonite Games (Chamber of Secrets, Prisoner of Azkaban) and Magic Pockets (Quidditch World Cup), but there is currently no word on who's handling the portable versions of Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire.
