LEGO Star Wars: A Rogue's Gallery, Part 2

This Week: Boba's dad, a badass, and miniscule Jedi master.

With Giant Interactive's LEGO Star Wars just a few weeks away, it's as good a time as any to reveal some of the game's more prominent playable characters. And while we already know about guys like Obi-Wan Kenobi and Jar Jar Binks, we wanted to explore some of the other available warriors that aren't such obvious choices. What about the droids, the aliens, and all the bizarre little creatures in-between?

Listed below are three of more than 50 playable characters that can be used for almost every possible stage in LEGO Star Wars. Though they won't be available for play until you've encountered them in the normal story mode, once they've been unlocked they'll stay in your inventory forever. It's one of our favorite little features in the entire game, and one that's provided us with plenty of reasons to go back and play through several additional times.

We'll be back with three more Star Wars favorites in the coming days. But in the meantime, check out the movies, screenshots, and information provided below for Jango Fett, Mace Windu, and Yoda. See you again shortly.

Jango Fett Character Type: Bounty Hunter Weapon: Dual Pistols Abilities: Grappling hook, Rocket Backpack Appears: Episode II Scene 1 -- "Discovery on Kamino"; Episode II Scene 4 -- "Jedi Battle"

Bio: The ruthless efficiency of this highly-trained bounty hunter, with advanced equipment like a hover-thrusting and rocket-firing backpack, not to mention his dual pistols and the heavy fire power supplied by his customized ship Slave 1, causes plenty of trouble for Obi-Wan as he investigates the clone factory on Kamino. If you can unlock Jango as a playable character, though, his cool abilities will be of great help in your adventures!

Mace Windu Character Type: Jedi Weapon: Lightsaber Abilities: Force Powers Appears: Episode II Scene 4 -- "Jedi Battle"

Bio: With Obi-Wan Kenobi, Padme and Anakin Skywalker imprisoned in the Geonsian arena, it's up to Jedi Master Mace Windu to hold off the attacking Separatist forces. Mace uses the power of the Force to shatter the prisoners' bonds, and wields his distinctive purple lightsaber with powerful attacking sweeps.

Yoda Character Type: Jedi Weapon: Lightsaber Abilities: Force Powers Appears: Episode II Scene 5 "Count Dook"; Episode III Scene 4; Episode III Scene 5

Bio: This tiny green fellow may not look like one of the most powerful warriors in the galaxy; but with a lightsaber in his hands, Yoda is more than a match for any enemy. In the game, Yoda is able to make use of his Force powers to move and transform objects and to Force-Push enemies to destruction. He's also equipped with a nifty hover-board to help him keep up with his Jedi colleagues.
