Cold Fear Grips Stores

Ubisoft announced today that Cold Fear is now shipping to retailers in North America. Developed by Darkworks for PlayStation 2 and Xbox, the game puts players in the role of U.S. Coast Guardsman Tom Hansen, who walks into sinister darkness on an adrift Russian whaling ship.

Cold Fear features quick, intelligent enemies, a realistic arsenal of weapons, and the challenge of staying put on a ship tossed violently by dark waters. Be sure to check out all our coverage for more details.

Oh and it also turns out that this story was a hoax and is really all about the Cold Fear videogame. You silly goose, monster starfish wouldn't survive in near-arctic conditions ... monsters like it hot.

Look for Cold Fear to wash up at local stores this week.
