The Beat Is On

Donkey Kong Jungle Beat thumps its way to stores.

Nintendo today sends bongo-controlled side-scroller Donkey Kong Jungle Beat to North American stores, giving gamers even more reason to beat -- er, bongos. You'll find a version which includes the bongo controller, as well as an edition with just the game, for those who grabbed the controller when Donkey Konga hit.

In Jungle Beat, you use the bongo controller to guide Donkey Kong through wild jungle environments filled with enemies and obstacles. Tap the bongos, do a drum roll or clap to control Donkey Kong on the screen. The right drum makes DK go right, while banging the left drum makes him go left. Hit them both to jump, or clap to trigger a wave that knocks over enemies or attracts bananas. Craziness ensues.

Be sure to brush up on your Beat with all our coverage so far, then check for the game in stores this week.
