Dragon Ball Z Readies Attack

Sagas has officially gone gold.

The first official Dragon Ball Z action game for consoles, Dragon Ball Z Sagas, has is now officially complete, according to an announcement from Atari today. The game is scheduled for a March 22 release on PlayStation 2, Xbox, and GameCube.

"We are excited to deliver Dragon Ball Z: Sagas because it represents many 'firsts' for the franchise" said Matt Collins at Atari. "It's the brand's first action-adventure game, first multi-platform launch, and the first DBZ title for the Xbox. Most of all, though, we are thrilled to give consumers something they have wanted for some time: a DBZ action game that allows players to go just about anywhere in the DBZ world."

Developed by Avalanche Software takes place during the first half of the animated series, letting players explore the world of Dragon Ball Z and use powerful abilities to complete their missions. In addition to the single-player action, Sagas features a multiplayer co-op mode.
