Full Spectrum Warrior Achieves Platinum Hits Status

Now at the $19.99 price point.

THQ Inc. (NASDAQ: THQI) today announced that critically acclaimed Full Spectrum Warrior is being re-released today as a part of the Xbox Platinum Hits series. Only a select few games for the Xbox videogame system from Microsoft that have enjoyed the greatest popularity and highest sales volumes are being selected for the Platinum program. As part of the series, Full Spectrum Warrior will now be available at the suggested retail price of $19.99.

Leaving no consumer behind, THQ also announced today that Full Spectrum Warrior for the PlayStation®2 computer entertainment system will debut this spring at the suggested retail price of $19.99.

The continued success of Full Spectrum Warrior was recognized in January, when the game was awarded the Best Strategy/Simulation Game of 2004 by 1UP.com. Developed by Pandemic, the highly successful title faced intense competition at the annual Las Vegas awards show in which fans decide which games deserve the top prize for each genre.

"Full Spectrum Warrior continues to stand as a symbol of our dedication to unique and innovative games." said Peter Dille, senior vice president of worldwide marketing, THQ. "Achieving Platinum Hits status is a great accomplishment for the Full Spectrum Warrior brand and we wanted to introduce the PS2 gaming audience to this innovative game at the same mass market price point."
