Ubisoft Publishes Bomberman

Last week we reported that Ubisoft would soon be announcing their publishing intentions on Hudson Soft's Bomberman DS. Today, Ubisoft made it official.

Ubisoft has signed an exclusive deal with Hudson Soft Co., Ltd to publish and distribute Bomberman DS for the Nintendo in Europe and North America, as well as Bomberman Hardball for PlayStation 2 throughout Europe.

Bomberman DS will feature the classic Bomberman bomb-blasting gameplay across two screens. The portable version will offer touch-screen control in menu option and gameplay, and will also utilize the microphone of the system for specific voice recognition options. As many as eight people can battle in Bomberman DS via the system's wireless capabilities.

Ubisoft expects Bomberman DS to hit shelves in the Summer.
