Golden Hominid

The Behemoth's Alien is finished.

If you're an alien, the last thing you want to do is crash in the middle of FBI Headquarters. Unfortunately for the hero of O~3 Entertainment's first PS2 title, that's exactly what happen the stage is set for the upcoming Flash-turned-videogame Alien Hominid. And wouldn't you know it? It' gone gold!

Developed by the creators at The Behemoth, Alien Hominid is an old-school side-scrolling 2D shooter that draws comparisons to games like Metal Slug and, well, Metal Slug 2 here in the office. Originally created in 2002 as a Flash game for the popular website Newgrounds, Hominid has quickly risen to become one of the most popular Flash-related games on the Internet. A console version seemed like the next logical step.

"The response to Alien Hominid has been amazing," said Bill Gardner, CEO of O~3. "There is still room in the market for good, old fashioned, action games that are done right. It's no surprise this game has over six million downloads - it's truly original and addictive."

Scheduled to ship to retailers on November 16, Alien Hominid will be available for both PlayStation 2 and GameCube.
