The Bard Escapes

A crazy, trash-talking troubadour is set loose on retailers.

inXile entertainment announced today that The Bard's Tale, renowned developer Brian Fargo's new take on the classic franchise, has shipped to North American retailers for the PlayStation 2 and Xbox. Gamers now have a chance to embark on what is certainly the funniest top-down action-RPG released between last week and the next. It's good stuff.

"I'm 100% confident that in the medieval/top down/action RPG/musical/comedy genre we will achieve #1 status," comments Brian Fargo, also CEO of inXile. "And if you are going to buy a game on October 27th ... it will probably be GTA: San Andreas BUT if you are going to buy two ... The Bard's Tale is the obvious 2nd choice."
