Larry Banned in Oz

The risque adventure's too much for Australia, apparently.

Even as the ever-so-naughty adventure/mini-game title ships to stores this week in North America, Australian authorities have effectively banned Leisure Suit Larry: Magna Cum Laude from sale in the country.

Australia's Office of Film and Literature Classification, essentially the equivalent of the ESRB here in the States, has denied certification to Larry, objecting to the game's "obscured or implied sexual activity and obscured and partial nudity involving stylised animated characters."

In Australia, a game without certification may not be legally sold.

Just weeks before, the Office withdrew classification of Manhunt, removing Rockstar's gritty action title from shelves as well.
