FIFA 2005 Gets Covered

Electronic Arts today announced the official cover athletes for FIFA Soccer 2005. This year's iteration of international football goodness will feature Andriy Shevchenko, Fernando Morientes, and Oswaldo Sanchez as North American spokesmen.

"Becoming a FIFA cover athlete is an incredible honor," said Sanchez, a native of Guadalajara, Mexico. "I love EA SPORTS, especially the FIFA franchise. To think that my likeness is in the game, and that all the great teams from the Mexican League are now available, is tremendous."

Look for the latest FIFA to ship October 12 on the GameCube, PlayStation 2, PC, Xbox, and Game Boy Advance.
