Electronic Arts today announced the license-heavy soundtrack for its upcoming racing game, Burnout 3: Takedown, and boy, is it interesting...
Featuring 40 songs from today's most...trendy, FM-friendly, and right-down-the-middle-of-the-road bands, Burnout 3: Takedown does away with the pleasurable in-house music from the previous game and gives you Jimmy Eat World, Yellowcard, New Found Glory, and more.
Plus, if you liked the DJ from SSX 3, well, there's a very similar one in Burnout 3: Takedown. They call him DJ Stryker, and if you have listened to once alternative KROQ-FM, you'll know him.
Here is the full list of songs:
This soundtrack has more songs than any other EA title since 2002's debut of the EA TRAX music initiative (and yes, the Xbox version officially does indeed support rippable music). Burnout 3: Takedown is rated "T" (Teen) by the ESRB and is slated for a worldwide release in September 2004 Xbox and PlayStation 2.
