Got Mad Madden Skills?

Electronic Arts today announced the official itinerary for the Third Annual EA SPORTS Madden Challenge, the 32-city, officially-sanctioned tournament designed to find the best Madden player in the country (as well as give the franchise some tasty publicity).

The winner from each city will be invited to the Finals at the Mandalay Bay Hotel in Las Vegas, Nevada on December 11, where the final winner will be decided. What's at stake? A tasty prize package, including a check for $50,000. Nice.

The Madden Challenge kicks off this year on August 14 at the Metrodome in Minneapolis. It'll then wind around the country, finally ending in San Francisco's SBC Park on November 28. For the full schedule and details, click here.

Madden NFL 2005 is set to ship August 9, so you'll have some practice time before the big Challenge. Better get started as soon as you can, as there are sure to be plenty of others seeking out that big check and shiny Madden glory.
