New Pokemon GBA SP

In honor of the upcoming Pokemon Emerald, Japan will see a new limited edition system.

Chalk up another special edition Game Boy Advance SP system in Japan. Nintendo will release the GBA SP Rayquaza Edition in Japan to coincide with the release of Pokemon Emerald this Fall. The system will be green in color and feature Rayquaza, the legendary Pokemon that's highlighted in Pokemon Emerald, on the top and the inside of the GBA SP unit.

The Rayquaza Edition Game Boy Advance SP will be sold exclusively through the Pokemon Center Online for 12,500 yen. Reservations will begin on August 16th, and will be taken all the way up to September 10th.

Pokemon Emerald is the latest addition to the Pokemon RPG series on the Game Boy Advance. It will be based upon the Ruby/Sapphire adventure and feature wireless connectivity, as well as new exclusive gameplay elements. The game ships in Japan on September 16th.
