Electronic Arts today announced that the highly anticipated NCAA Football 2005 will be in stores...today! The solid sequel to last year's second best selling football game in North America (the first being Madden) should now be available on PlayStation 2, Xbox, and GameCube. The release also marks the first EA Sports title to be Xbox Live compatible.
The biggest selling point of NCAA 2005 -- aside from online gaming on PS2 and Xbox -- is its home field advantage system. This new gameplay mechanic approximates the real-life advantage home teams get when visitors come to play. Crowd noise effects play calling and the "thunderous support" of fans could cause your opponents to cower like beaten babies on an individual basis. Don't mess with Floridians in The Swamp, less you want to be crushed, you know?
