NCAA Football 2005 is Golden

EA finalizes the latest entry. Kickoff is imminent.

Electronic Arts announced today that NCAA Football 2005, this year's entry in the ongoing college football series, has gone gold and will hit stores July 15.

While the title will likely be notable as yet another high-quality EA Sports experience, it also happens to be the first EA title to support Xbox Live. Yes, that's right: the day is almost here, Xbox gamers. And what a sweet day it should turn out to be.

Many of the editors here have already begun practicing their headset trash-talking, with resident sailor Chris Carle already causing young, innocent intern Colin Moriarty to blush repeatedly. Oh, the game will be on. It will be on.

Look for NCAA Football 2005 on PlayStation 2, Xbox, and GameCube in a few weeks. Meantime, if this one's slated for your roster, add it to your wishlist.
