Ready to Kill More Pain?

DreamCatcher announced today that an official expansion for the underdog hit shooter Painkiller is now in the works, slated for release in time for the holidays.

Titled Painkiller: Battle out of Hell, the expansion will extend the story of the original game, offering a 10-level single-player chapter, new multiplayer modes, maps, and models.

DreamCatcher also promises to amplify the action with more-powerful weapons and tougher bosses. Battle out of Hell will also include a map editor for creating your own spiffy, painkilling levels.

Gamers looking for unapologetically action-heavy FPS action will be happy to see more Painkiller arriving soon. We'll be back with more details on the expansion as soon as they come in.
