E3 2004: Yu-Gi-Oh: Capsule Monsters Announced

First screens and info from Konami's popular follow-up.

Konami's 2004 E3 press conference was full of new game announcements; not the least of which was the brand new Yu-Gi-Oh property,Yu-Gi-Oh! Capsule Monster Coliseum. Best described as a cross between card battle monsters an chess, CMC encourages players to defeat a variety of different monsters in versus, free battle, and campaign modes. As an added touch, two players will be able to compete with one another in the majority of these options and they'll further be able to improve their roster of monsters as they rise in strength points.

Unfortunately further details on Capsule Monster Coliseum were withheld. But we expect to see it live and on the floor when the show begins officially tomorrow morning. Stay tuned to IGN for an update as it becomes available. In the meantime, click on our media page below for the first batch of screenshots. CMC is due out this October.
