GTA: Vice City Dated in Japan

Plus, an 18 and up rating!

The PlayStation 2 version of Grand Theft Auto: Vice City will receive an 18 and up rating in its Japanese release, according to Capcom, the game's Japanese publisher. The game, first announced for Japanese release a few months back, is now set for release in the country on 5/20 for both the PlayStation 2 and PC. Both versions will cost 7140 yen.

The original Grand Theft Auto III became last year's biggest selling overseas title in Japan, with sales of over 300,000 units. Since its announcement, Vice City has climbed to the upper ranks of the most wanted list in Famitsu, Japan's most popular gaming magazine, suggesting that big things could be in store for the sequel.
