SCEJ Does the Honors for Prince of Persia

Sony Computer Entertainment Japan announced today that it will be serving as the Japanese publisher for the PS2 version of Ubi Soft's Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time. The game will arrive to Japan in the Summer carrying a price of 7140 yen.

IGN has been quite vocal about the quality of this game since its first appearance at last year's E3. Apparently, SCEJ also liked what it saw of the game -- at least enough to make it a rare 3rd party pick-up for the company.

No word yet on what this means for possible Japanese releases of the Xbox and GameCube versions of the game.
