New Call of Duty Update Available

Version 1.3 features new maps, enhancements and bug fixes.

Activision, Inc. (Nasdaq: ATVI) and Infinity Ward have released two all-new multiplayer maps for their critically acclaimed, intense and cinematic first-person action game, Call of Duty(tm). The new maps, titled Neuville and Bocage, bring even more multiplayer fun to the popular game that has garnered more than 50 Editors' Choice Awards and 70 Game of the Year Awards worldwide since its release. The title has even captured overall Game of the Year honors from two prestigious academies, the Academy of Interactive Arts and Science (AIAS) and the British Academy of Film and Television Arts (BAFTA). The update is currently available for download at www.callofduty.com/patch.

Neuville - A small town in Normandy that's been reduced to rubble amidst close combat between U.S. Airborne units and battle-hardened Waffen SS troops. The town's demolished landscape provides an abundant spread of attacking and flanking positions, forcing both Allied and Axis teams to keep on their toes as they fight for possession. In order to succeed, squad members will have to take cover behind the various piles of rubble and in massive, deep shell craters located throughout the town.

Bocage - Located between the Orne and Vire rivers in Normandy lay 50 miles of small fields, overgrown with shrubbery and surrounded by high earthen banks. Each field is a natural deathtrap, sporting limited visibility and great defensive terrain with bushes that provide cover from air and ground reconnaissance. Both squads will be hard-tested to their fullest when the attacks come from every direction - take cover!

Gamers will be notified of the new update and prompted with download instructions through Call of Duty's multiplayer update feature. The update includes other enhancements, such as multiplayer server browser fixes, exploit fixes and other play-balancing features. In addition, fans will be pleased to know that Even Balance, Infinity Ward and Activision are hard at work, intently integrating PunkBuster in an upcoming patch to be released as soon as possible.
