Silent Hill 4 Hits Japan

That's where it started, you know.

Japan was on the tail end of releases for Silent Hill 3, and until today part 4 in the series hadn't even been announced in the country. Sure enough, though, Konami did deem Japan worthy of the fourth entry in the Japanese-developed survival horror franchise and has gone about actually announcing a release.

Silent Hill 4: The Room will arrive for the Japanese PS2 on 6/17 at the price of 6980 yen. The Xbox version of the game has yet to be announced for a similar release. Development, on the PS2 version at least, has been listed at 98% by the company.

So it seems that the country that started Silent Hill in the first place may be once again getting the latest entry in the series last. We can rest assured that it's at least getting it at all.
