Premium subscription gives access to UO and UXO.

Next year, two amazing fantasy worlds -- one legendary, one revolutionary - will be available for one low price.

Today, Electronic Arts' (NASDAQ:ERTS) Origin Studios announced that once Ultima X: Odyssey (UXO) ships early next year, players will be offered Ultima Premium Subscriptions.

An Ultima Premium Subscription will give players one low subscription rate for both Ultima Online (UO), one of the most successful and longest running online role-playing games, and UXO, the highly anticipated new fantasy role-playing game built on the Unreal engine.

Players will be able to choose one of three Ultima; Premium Subscriptions, which will give access to both UO and UXO. Options include:

  • $19.98 per month, instead of the combined $25.98 (if each game is subscribed to separately).
  • $54.98 every three months, instead of $69.98.
  • $99.98 every six months, instead of $119.98.

    The regular, single subscription prices for each Ultima game are as follows:

  • $12.99 a month.
  • $34.99 every three months.
  • $59.99 every six months.

    Current UO players will also get the first 90 days of UXO free, instead of the normal 30 free days! To qualify for the extra free days in UXO, UO players must:

  • Be an active UO subscriber as of March 31, 2004.
  • Buy the retail version of UXO and activate an account within 30 days of UXO's commercial launch.
