Dead to Rights II Lives

Namco brings the hardcore action-blaster back to Xbox and PS2.

Namco Hometek today uncloaked the first news on its upcoming sequel, Dead to Rights II: Hell to Pay, due for Xbox and PS2 in late 2004.

In the sequel, Dead to Rights II puts players in the shoes of tough cop Jack Slate who, along with his canine partner Shadow, become involved in an underground war for power in Grant City. The story-driven gameplay offers a combination melee-weapon combat system, 360-degree fighting, and an updated slow-motion diving system.

"We are extremely excited to announce the sequel to our highly successful Dead to Rights title," said Andre Emerson, senior producer at Namco. "With even more groundbreaking gameplay features, a gripping new hard-boiled story, and high cinematic production values, Dead to Rights II: Hell to Pay redefines the highly successful action noir genre established by the original."

We'll have more on Dead to Rights II: Hell to Pay in the near future.
