EA developing Battlefield 1942 Mod Toolkit

Electronic Arts has announced it will be spreading the Mod Development Toolkit love to the mod community for Battlefield 1942, the World War II-themed first-person, team-based online shooter.

EA also just released an add-on to BF1942 titled "Secret Weapons," which features new characters, weapons and vehicles in North Africa and the mountains of Italy. Keep your eye out for an Open Beta of the mod kit coming "in the near future." Has anyone seen my crystal ball?
