Vivendi Universal announced today its stake-thrusting action game, Buffy the Vampire Slayer: Chaos Bleeds, has reached gold status. The game, due for a simultaneous launch on PS2, Xbox and GameCube, will ship to retail stores August 26.

Developed by veteran developer Eurocom Entertainment, Buffy the Vampire Slayer: Chaos Bleeds is a third-person beat-'em-up enabling players to take on the role of more than five characters from the famous TV show, and follows an original storyline created as a lost episode from season five.
