Black Hawk Down Ships

Black Hawk Down comes built off of a modified Comanche 4 engine, but don't let that fool you because you won't be flying a single helicopter. Nope, you'll be riding in them, jumping out of them, and protecting them. As an elite "operator" (Delta Force soldier) it's up to you and your comrades to pound Somali militant warlords into submission and keep the food flowing.

Loosely based off of the actual event as opposed to the film that stylishly depicted its brutality, Black Hawk Down may also carry NovaLogic's Delta Force brand name, but it's a significantly better product than any of the titles that have come before it.

"To ensure accuracy, NovaLogic spent months researching the history of the conflict, and worked extensively with former Special Forces Operatives, including two who served in Somalia in 1993.

NovaLogic has also teamed up with the Special Operations Warrior Foundation. A portion of the proceeds from Delta Force - Black Hawk Down will be donated to the foundation. The SOWF provides college scholarship grants, along with financial aid and educational counseling to the children of Special Operations personnel who were killed in an operational mission or training accident."

There are some problems with the game, problems I touched on in my full text and video reviews, but if you can set them aside, you'll find a slick, enjoyable shooter with a cool multiplayer component, however straightforward it may be.
