Hearts Art

Kingdom Hearts art book package released.

Tetsuya Nomura had some big shoes to fill when taking over the art duties on the Final Fantasy series. After all, Yoshitaka Amano is one of Japan's most beloved and respected artists, not too mention his cult-like fan base here in the States. But, so far, Nomura has done an exceptional job bringing a new look and feel to not just the Final Fantasy series, but to Square games as a whole. His work on the seminal Disney/Square crossover game, Kingdom Hearts, further solidified his role as one of gaming's great artists.

To celebrate Nomura's work on the Disney-Square affair, a Kingdom Hearts poster/art book was recently released in Japan. Included inside are character and environment sketches, as well as ten poster size drawings. The book also comes with a handy Kingdom Hearts postcard book that contains 30 high-quality postcards featuring art from the game.

There are no current plans to release the book in the US, so unless you've got friends or family in the East, don't count on seeing this book anytime soon.
