Yesterday's news on Nintendo's official release date of Pokemon for the Game Boy Advance (March 17, 2003 if you weren't paying attention), we've uncovered the boxart for both of the games that will ship next year.
Pokemon: Ruby Version will feature a red motif with the Pokemon Groudon on the cover, and Pokemon: Sapphire Version will be packaged in a blue box with Kyogre on the front. The box art below is final, apart from the ESRB rating in the corner (it will most definitely end up with an E rating by the time it ships).
Each version, like the previous versions of Pokemon, will have its own set of common, uncommon, and rare Pokemon to catch; some Pokemon in Pokemon: Sapphire Version will not be catchable in Pokemon: Ruby Version, and vice versa.
Owners of previous Pokemon will not be able to transfer their collection to Ruby or Sapphire; you'll just have to start catching 'em all from the beginning like the rest of us.
We'll have more details on the Game Boy Advance version of Pokemon as it becomes available.
