Turok Ready for Bloody Sunday

The GBA game will ship along with the console versions on a special launch day.

Acclaim has announced that Turok: Evolution will ship simultaneously for all systems on September 1st for what it calls Turok Bloody Sunday. And since games generally don't ship on Sundays, you can probably bet good money that the games will hit shelves a day earlier.

Unlike the console versions, the GBA game is a side-scrolling action game developed by RFX Interactive, featuring Contra-esque gameplay for one or two players. The company will support the launch of Turok: Evolution with a wide range of television, theatre and print advertisements...but chances are good that you won't see the GBA footage run with these campaigns. Hey, it's just the way this wacky industry works.

Watch for the reviews to hit IGN when the games ship to retail. But have a look at all the nifty screenshots and videoclips grabbed from the GBA title by clicking on the link below.
