WrestleMania returns

While the first Road to WrestleMania was somewhat of a jobber, a rematch bout on the GBA is inevitable and, for the millions of wrestling fans around the globe, eagerly awaited. THQ will be heeding the call and hopefully turning up the heat with a sequel called WWE Road to WrestleMania X8.

No info is available on the second WWE (formerly WWF) wrestler for GBA yet, but THQ has announced the game on its official website for a Fall 2002 release date. Although the game shares its name with the Gamecube version, link features were likely not a part of the plan for the two games -- hopefully next year's games will have a better-synched release schedule for cross-linking features. We'll have a run-down on what to expect in the game as well as screenshots of WWE Road to WrestleMania X8 soon.
