Question: I'm Anthony now and must deliver a warning to Charlemagne. I'm stuck. I found The Tome and an empty library. What do I do?
Hint: Perhaps Anthony should do a little reading before he continues his quest.
Answer: There is one book on the library shelves. Locate it and you find it will reveal a stairway that leads beneath the cathedral.
Question: I keep stepping on a pad with three circles on it. It opens the door in front of me then shuts. How do I keep it open?
Hint: Find any antiques recently?
Answer: You have three urns, some broken, some not. Enchant the urns to fix them and then use them on the pad to open the door. But, be sure to fill them with water at the nearby fountain first.
Question: I've found several runes and a circle of power. How does all this spell-making work?
Answer: The circle of power has three points. There will be more later in the game. This directly correlates to making spells and how powerful they are. Try mixing different combinations of runes. However, you can only use a rune if you've found the codex for it. The first spell you learn is Enchant, which has the power to make things strong and repair things. Always use the "check" function in your spell list for a full description. Interestingly, you can actually make spells before you find the scrolls that describe them. So, experiment in the New Spell section, and you'll be sure to stay a few steps ahead of the game.
Hint: The game gives the same hint. You don't have any magick attached to your Ram Dao sword, which probably fits in the slot. Check your spell list. You've probably got everything you need.
Answer:You have a large sword called the Ram Dao. Enchant it with the same color and insert it. Voila! The door appears and can be opened.
Question: I'm Maximillian Roivas. I found a few letters from Aaron indicating I need to find The Tome. Where is it, I've checked the entire house.
Hint: Under the pale of the moonlight that falls in the dining room, you'll find what you're looking for in a place to warm your feet.
Answer:Examine the fireplace in the dining room. Solve the puzzle with the bird on the mantel and you'll find a secret passage.
Question: I'm still Maximillian. I found a a colored rune on the wall to the right of the front stairway. What do I do?
Hint: Look at the painting right next to it. It shows a door that is apparently invisible to you. Hmm, learn any tricks from Houdini lately?
Answer:The door is invisible behind this rune. Use your latest spell, Reveal Invisible, to make it appear.
Hint: You're going to need to fix the key and reveal the keyhole in the dresser, right? Haven't you performed similar tasks in past quests?
Answer:Enchant the key to fix it. Then use Reveal Invisible to locate the keyhole.
Question: I've gone through the quest pretty quickly to this point. It's taken me 3-5 hours. How can the game be something like 20 hours long for the average player if I'm halfway through?
Answer: You're not halfway through the game. Chapters begin to get more complicated, there are always more things to do as Alex, which breaks up the chapter, but if you're using an FAQ like this, of course the game will move more quickly. But, don't worry. You still have a LOT of ground to cover even after finishing the first five or six chapters.
