Konami Backs OP KOS

An announcement was made today by Konami of America that it will be sponsoring The OP King of Skate Tournament which highlights innovative skateboarding with a reward of $25,000 in cash.

"The goal of the OP King of Skate is to create a successful pay-per-view skateboarding event featuring the sports best athletes. By using a television-friendly and never-before-seen format, we've created a show that is both highly credible to the core skateboarding audience and widely entertaining to the broader teen market," said Jeremy Kove, of Munson Industries.

Scheduled for Pay-Per-View later this evening, Konami's Tony Hawk competitor, Evolution Skateboarding will be showcased throughout the event, and advertised extensively on the arena floor.
