Pokemon Battles!

Check out the first screens of battle sequences in the upcoming Pokemon title for the GBA.

Though Pokemon Advance still has a while to go in development, Nintendo has released the first images of the battle sequences that players will experience in this Game Boy Advance sequel.

Judging from the screenshots of the game in action, the game's graphics won't be much of a change over what's been established in the last Pokemon game released on the Game Boy Color. Characters will be large and animated, but they're not going to be overwhelming in the graphics department.

Nintendo also offered the first look at what a town will look like on the Game Boy Advance. Again, they're really not going for a huge push for graphics, only offering a bare minimum over the Game Boy Color graphics...somewhat disappointing after seeing what other Japanese RPG developers have been able to pull off on the Game Boy Advance so far.

We're expecting to get our first hands-on with the game at this year's Electronic Entertainment Expo in May.
