When Nintendo announced it was launching GameCube, Metroid was right there alongside it. In 2002, a year after the home console launched, Metroid Prime debuted at the hands of Retro Studios and brought the beloved "old-school" 2D side-scrolling adventure into 3D. It was met with wide acclaim by the industry.
Two years later, now, in 2004, a sequel is already here. Rated a 9.5 by IGNcube, it's considered one of the absolute best titles on GameCube.
In this detailed video review, IGN Insider editor-in-chief Fran Mirabella takes a complete final look at Metroid Prime 2 Echoes. Fran reviewed the original Metroid Prime for IGNcube and has recently spent many late nights examining Echoes.
Along with Matt Casamassina's text review, we're positive you won't find a more in-depth examination anywhere. Delve into our spoiler-free (note: you will see a range of locations, but nothing secret or late in the game) video review to learn everything you need to know about Echoes.
