Most games inspired by the hugely popular Dragon Ball Z franchise center on one-on-one bouts of epic proportions. The Budokai series is the latest example. The latest Dragon Ball Z game, titled Dragon Ball Z: Sagas will take the anime inspired game franchise into a new direction. Atari often refers to Sagas as a Dragon Ball Z sandbox, where characters freely explore massive environments and lay waste to everything in their path.

Instead of just fighting a core group of powerful enemies, players will now roam at their leisure and battle hordes of lesser foes. This isn't to say those monstrous confrontations have gone missing. They're still very much alive, in fact. At the end of each stage, after a player has fought through a swarm of enemies, a boss character will appear ready to stomp ass.

Sounds different, no? Well, Atari has dumped a ton of new media to emphasize the differences between Sagas and other Dragon Ball Z games. Head down below to access 75 new screens and footage ripped straight out of the game.
