Amazing Island [GC]

Welcome to Amazing Island (or Island of the Kaiju in Japan). This is a fantastical world filled with magical monsters. Sadly, this tropical paradise is plagued by a "Black Evil," which has captured the native Maboo tribe. It's up to your imagination to defeat this black menace. How? Create your very own monster. Through numerous combinations of parts, players can customize their own fighting machine (er...monster) and then enter him into 30 different competitions, which revolve around speed, timing, and head-to-head battles. Victory wins you magical orbs that will eventually return the land to its formal tranquil state.

Amazing Island includes its own "Monster Editing" tool that allows you to combine countless features and abilities into a single creation. Also, with each successful win, you'll unlock new parts and abilities -- so you'll constantly be morphing your monster into more powerful fighting machines. Attaching wings to your creature will allow it to fly, longer legs will let it run faster, and other items will enable abilities like fire breath. GBA connectivity will allow you to take your new pet on the road with you to do battle with up to three friends and collect special monster parts.

Hitmaker will release the localized version of Island of the Kaiju exclusively on GameCube this summer. IGNcube will report back with more Amazing Island coverage at E3. Until then, screens await you in our media pages.
