Buena Vista's going all out when Disney releases Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest to theaters this fourth of July weekend. Before that film launches, the company will release three handheld versions of the flick. So whether you've got a PSP, a Nintendo DS, or a Game Boy Advance, you'll be able to take your swashbuckling on the go.

Along with bringing over the Nintendo DS and PSP versions of the franchise, Buena Vista also showed off the game for the Game Boy Advance. This title, like the other two, is also in development at Amaze and offers a different take on the whole Jack Sparrow story. In this handheld rendition, players romp through a strict side-scrolling environment as Jack Sparrow. Though there's more fast-paced action than puzzle elements in this game, the GBA rendition has a very Prince of Persia air to it. There will be more than 15 levels with 50 different platform-jumping maps to explore when the game's finished and shipped.

The Game Boy Advance version will also have sailing elements between the platforming action to spice up the variety. Hit the link below to check out the first screenshots of the GBA game in action. We'll have more on the game as it progresses into development.
