Samus is back and rewriting history. Full video review.

ign

Samus Aran is making her return to GBA, and we're guessing she arrived traveling about 88mph in a DeLorian, carrying a History Eraser Button. Metroid: Zero Mission is Samus' newest, and yet oldest, assignment.

Zero Mission is a retelling of the original Metroid, created as an attempt to fill holes in the Metroid franchise's storyline, as well as give this generation's gamers a chance to see how it all started. It's not to be confused with a remake, though. Remix would be a better description, though that's not even accurate enough as there's quite a bit more here than there was in the nearly 20 year-old original. As Nintendo puts it, this is a replacement for the original.

So, how does it compare to the original Metroid, the last GBA game in the series, Metroid: Fusion, and the rest of the games in the series? You'll have to watch our video review to find out. Check it out below.
