A quick tour around the galaxy.

Although it didn't exactly reach the greatness of the console game, Lego Star Wars for GBA was a hit for the company and a nice companion for the console game. Lego Star Wars II for the Game Boy Advance was here at E3 at the LucasArts booth, although there isn't much else to say besides that if you liked the first one, you should like the new game.

In comparison to the other console and handheld games, Lego Star Wars II for GBA is naturally cut down. Because of the 2D graphics technology used, the game will not be able to mix and match character parts as in the other versions, and you also cannot build your own ships or drop vehicles into stages. That said, the GBA version's sharp look and animation, rendered visuals, and smooth gameplay carries on the traditions of the original. The GBA's Lego Star Wars game will have levels based on and yet uniquely built for GBA, and as a special bonus for pocket players, the GBA version will include character abilities not seen in any other version.

Developer Amaze has just gotten started on the GBA version, so we'll take a closer look at it again later on to see if the team is able to cram any more coolness in.
