Wedding Games

Welcome relief from the headaches of wedding season awaits you with our collection of stress-free marriage-themed games.

It's officially springtime, and that means it's officially wedding planning season. Although that's good news for the happy couples out there, it's bad news for those of us who have to, you know, actually make the wedding come together in time. Contending with the bride and groom is hard enough, not to mention caterers, a band, a venue, travel arrangements, honeymoon, printing invitations...phew! It's enough to raise our blood pressure just thinking about it.

So take our advice and relax with this selection of wedding-themed pick-up-and-play games, where the only consequence of failure is clicking the "Start Over" button and not public humiliation, colossal expense, and being ostracized by friends and relations alike. Yup, there goes the blood pressure again. Better get on with the list.

Wedding Dash

You've played Diner Dash, right? Wedding Dash brings Flo's plate-spinning antics to the world of wedding planning. Can you help Flo's best friend Quinn manage tipsy guests, falling cakes and catty bridesmaids? Will she keep her business afloat through all 50 levels of gameplay? Only you know the answer - or, at least, you will after playing this addictive spin on a classic franchise.

Dream Day Wedding/Bundle

OK, so planning a wedding might not be the perfect way to get over the stress of...planning a wedding. But believe us: Dream Day stars Jenny and Robert are a lot easier to please than most couples - and who knows, you might just pick up some tips. You'll visit the flower shop, dress boutique and bakery, and get the chance to decide exactly how the happy couple wound up getting married in the first place. There doesn't seem to be a shotgun wedding option, but we're sure that's an oversight that'll be corrected in the fullness of time.

Dream Day Honeymoon/Bundle

Typical. You go to all the trouble of putting together the perfect wedding ceremony, the vast expense of paying for it all and the stress of making sure it all comes together, and the first thing the new Mr. and Mrs. do is slink off to some idyllic tropical getaway to gaze at their hotel room ceiling. Dream Day Honeymoon lets you share in (some of) the fun of the ensuing hijinks. Don't worry, it's definitely G-rated. (Plus, as weddings tend not to be the cheapest of affairs, both Dream Date Honeymoon and Wedding are available in a bundle for the bargain price of $24.99.)

Diamond Detective

"Ooops, I forgot the ring" moments aren't confined to low-budget wedding comedies. Figures that we just made up indicate that 7.62% of U.S. wedding ceremonies involve the loss, theft, or otherwise mislaying of wedding-related trinkets. Prepare yourself for this near-inevitable happening with Diamond Detective, which tasks players with recovering the stolen gems of Gemopolis. Admittedly, your best tactics will involve matching jewels rather than interrogating that no-good drunk of a best man as to which bar he left them in, but you'll enjoy it regardless.

Dream Day First Home

As if the stress of wedding planning wasn't enough, for many couples there's also the tension of picking your first matrimonial residence. In these times of unstable housing markets, sub-prime crises and unexpected earthquakes, you'll welcome the no-stress approach of Dream Day First Home, a hidden-item game with two attractive houses to master.
